Learn to Build with CSS3, HTML5, Javascript via Responsive Design & Bootstrap
Join us for this hands-on introductory workshop designed for adults! This workshop is perfect if you're interested in learning in a collaborative environment and want to build a web site.
Thanks to Sabio.LA and Make in LA, 100% of workshop fees will go towards supporting DIY Girls tech programs for girls. You can learn to code and at the same time help us teach young girls to code!
You will work to publish a small custom site similar to what you see in an online resume or company landing page. We will discuss responsive design, media queries, CSS3, HTML5, Javascript, and the Bootstrap framework. Our goal is to have you publish your work via FTP to your custom URL on our servers.
Responsive design is used to develop a single application or website that renders beautifully across many different devices (i.e. tables, smart phones, laptops). Bootstrap is one of the most popular responsive and open source frameworks on the web with hundreds, if not thousands, of themes to choose from.
