Reimagining innovation in science - dedication of LMU's new Life Sciences Building
Imagine a space that is not only designed to facilitate innovation in science, but is itself a design innovation. This is LMU’s new Life Sciences Building. This building, which is the sixth LEED-certified building on campus, is a great example of the use of sustainable design features. The building also presents a learning opportunity for students to consider how building designs can be improved to reduce energy consumption and environmental impacts. This building is a place where students learn science by doing. Seaver College professors and students will be giving brief presentations about their innovations and achievements in science. Visitors can also take a self-guided tour of the building, with highlights of its sustainable design features.
